Valentino Garavani is a world famous Italian fashion designer and has been designing clothes since the 1950s. His clothes have been worn by Audrey Hepburn, Princess Margaret, Elizabeth Taylor and Jacqueline Kennedy.
Since retiring from the world stage in 2008, Valentino travels all around the world, staying at his various properties, with his large entourage around him at all times. The large group consists of his various business partners, PR managers, his godsons, close friends and their families and of course his pugs.
Valentino is well know for adoring his dogs and has always surrounded himself with pugs. He even named a line of clothing after his late pug Oliver. Another of his pugs, Milton, also very sadly passed away in July of this year. That is something no pug parent wants to go through.
Valentino currently has five pugs that travel with him everywhere he goes. Molly is the eldest and the mother of his other pugs: Monty, Margot, Maude and Maggie. When he travels anywhere, three cars are required to transport everyone; one car for the luggage and the staff, one car for Valentino and his partner and one car for Molly, Monty, Margot and Maggie. Apparently Maude always travels with Valentino.
They are definitely some pampered pugs! But it is very clear that Valentino loves them to pieces, and he even said in his own documentary biopic film Valentino: The Last Emperor “I don’t care about the collection, my dogs are more important.”
That’s the way it should be.
